Insect hotel or nesting box
Some insects could use a little help finding a home. Placing an insect hotel allows animals such as butterflies, ladybirds and bees to come and stay for a while, but woodlice and earwigs also like to spend the night in an insect hotel. With the DIY-package of the Kids in the Garden collection, making an insect hotel or nesting box is a piece of cake! Do you want to know more about the many advantages of an insect hotel in the garden? We wrote a blog about it before.
Paint-it-yourself houses
Painting is not only great fun to do, it also has many advantages for children. Painting stimulates fine motor skills, but it also encourages creative thinking and problem solving skills. Within the Kids in the Garden collection we have several items that are perfect for painting. An insect hotel, nesting box, bird table or butterfly house; we provide the paint and brushes, but the rest is up to the little Picasso or Dalí.
Garden gnome
There are no rules when it comes to the colour palette of a garden gnome. Therefore we like to challenge customers and their children to show their own vision of what a garden gnome could look like. The gnome comes with six colours of acrylic paint and a brush, but again: there are no rules. Finger painting, splashing, stamping, anything goes.
