Provides the great tit with a good nesting place for the winter. The box is also very useful for blue tits, tree sparrows, house sparrows, nuthatches and pied flycatchers when they are looking for shelter. Place the nest box in a quiet and somewhat sheltered location. Avoid direct sunlight and the side most exposed to rain, but ensure an unobstructed flight path for the bird.
