We all try our best to contribute to the environment. In the Netherlands, free plastic bags have even been banned since 2016. This has reduced the number of plastic bags by 80 percent to 35 bags per person per year. It’s remarkable how much you can collect in just a year, if you think about it. For example this one time you had to go to the drugstore very quick with just a wallet and keys.
A bag for every shopping occasion
In some countries there is still no ban on plastic bags, but that doesn't mean we can't contribute to a better environment anyway. Reduce the plastic soup by, for example, bringing your own shopping bag. A sturdy shopping bag such as a big shopper or a carrier bag you can use over and over again, so it doesn't just go with the garbage.
We understand that you don't take your large shopping bag with you everywhere, but to limit the circulation of plastic bags, it is useful to always have a (small) reusable bag at hand! You never know what kind of fun items you'll encounter in the store, right? So did you know there are very handy foldable bags which you can hang on your car key? You can easily put a big bag of potatoes in it!
