Submerged Flowers, beautiful and lasting!
Esschert Design launches a new concept, Submerged Flowers. Create an underwater artwork and enjoy flowers for longer. Strong flowers are best suited to enjoy these ‘underwater flowers’ for a long time. This is possible with roses, gerberas, but callas or anthurium give also a special effect. You can of course opt for a combination of flowers.
As the water in the vase enlarges the flowers, shape and colour stand out even better. For a beautiful effect, multiple vases in different heights and or shapes can be put together.
The vases are equipped with a glass sinker so that the flower can be easily secured and stays under water. This makes it easy to put the flower in the vase.
Step 1. Choose flowers, preferably strong ones such as roses, gerberas, lisianthus, callas or anthurium.
Step 2. Thoroughly clean the vase before use.
Step 3. Fill the vase with distilled water and a little chlorine. If using a chlorine pill, make sure it has dissolved before the flower is placed in the vase (it is also possible to use tap water with a little chlorine).
Step 4. Cut the stem at the right height so that the flower fits nicely into the vase.
Step 5. Attach the flower to the glass sinker with the clip.
Step 6. Carefully lower the sinker with the flower into the vase.
Step 7. Place the vase in a nice place and enjoy your centrepiece.
Ensure that the flowers remain under water and top up the vase when required (preferably with distilled water). Distilled water keeps the flowers beautiful for longer and creates less air bubbles around the flowers. The chlorine will help to prevent water from discolouration.
